The show continues through to 24 March 2016, with the opening on Sunday 28 February 2016 from 1-4p.m.It is a delightful show filled with many interesting and colourful abstract paintings in a wide variety of media and styles.
Three of the Group's artists: Cindy Allan, Norma MacEachern and Susan Sydney have paintings entered in this exhibition.
Two paintings were entered by Norma, the first piece is called Split Ends and features a textured green background with bright orange lines providing a strong contrast.
The second one is a whimsical, mixed media piece called Dreaming of Spring.
It is filled with a riot of colourful blooms and with the cold and stormy weather we have had recently most of us are looking forward to spring.
Her paintings can be found on the wall as you enter the Gallery.
As you continue around the exhibit you will find a large vertical acrylic painting by Susan called Swirling.
It is of soft, flowing lines in pastel shades of yellow, blue, green, beige and off white.
Further along the same wall is Dreamscape, which is the first of two paintings by Cindy.
This painting has received many differing points of view.Some see it as an underwater painting, others feel it is of a winter lake with fish just below the surface of the ice.
Many feel it is a landscape shrouded in fog, and one or two have thought it of as a scene from some distant planet.
Perhaps you have a different opinion.
Further along the wall you will find the second of Cindy's paintings called Sally Sells Sea Shells and features many different things you can find on a tropical beach.
It is rich in textures,from the raised edges of the split Nautilus shell to the subtle starfish resting on a bed of sand.
Each element of this painting is unique and makes you return to see more details that may have been missed the first time.
