4th Annual Art @ the Locks Show

It was a very hot and and humid weekend with temperatures on Saturday reaching 84F (28.9C) and humidity making it feel like 98F (36.7C)and Sunday was even worse with heat 87F (30.6C) and humidity 100F (37.8C).

But we made the best of it and with where we were set up we were able to have some shade throughout the day.

On both days there was a fair amount of boat traffic going through Youngs Point Lock 27 which allows access to Clear Lake from Katchewanooka Lake.

To make it more inviting for people to come in to see the art show Cindy hung some of her paintings on the fence facing the lock.

It certainly made the people from the boats and those walking along the pathway aware of the art show.

Norma and I had our artwork hung in the tent to protect the watercolours and other paintings under glass from the direct rays of the sun.

It was nice to see many of the people we knew come out and visit us at the show.

A lot of interest was shown in our artwork and a couple of people approached us about our having an exhibition in their art gallery next year, which we will certainly look forward to doing.

We look forward to returning to this art show next year.
